FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
WHAT TIME SHOULD I HAVE MY TOTE OUT FOR SERVICE?
No later than 5:00 a.m. or the night before.
WHAT IF I DON'T PUT MY TOTE OUT IN TIME AND THE TRUCK HAS ALREADY PASSED?
Please contact the office at 928-607-6970. There is a chance the driver may be able to return to service your tote the same day. In some cases, a fee may be charged for this service.
HOW DO I PAY MY BILL?
Payment can be made online at www.trashbilling.com, by calling our office at 928-607-6970, or by mailing a check or money order to 50 W United Way, Paulden AZ 86314.
WHAT ABOUT HOLIDAYS?
We observe 3 holidays a year! New Years Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day. All other holidays will operate as normal. All holiday schedule changes will be posted to our website.
WHAT IS RESIDENTIAL HOUSEHOLD WASTE?
Household waste, also known as domestic waste or residential waste, is disposable materials generated by households. Non-hazardous waste can include food scraps, paper, bottles, etc. which can be recycled or composted.
WHAT ABOUT CONSTRUCTION WASTE AND MANURE?
Please call the office at 928-607-6970 to discuss alternate solutions for excessive weight and manure.
Our low monthly rates are based on the EPA’s average family household waste weight. Excessive weight causes our disposal fees to increase at the landfill. *According to the EPA, the average American person will produce about 5.91 pounds of trash, with about 1.51 pounds being recycled; 4.40 pounds is the rough average daily waste per person.*
CAN I PUT EXTRA TRASH CURBSIDE FOR PICK UP?
The monthly fee covers what household waste fits inside the tote(s) on a weekly basis. Call the office at 928-607-6970 to make arrangements for extra trash as there are additional fees associated with additional waste. Similar to pre-paying for a tank of fuel at the gas station, you cannot fill up and then pull out extra gas tanks to fill for free. We do not offer an “all you can toss” program.
WHAT ABOUT EXTRA BAGS?
Call the office at 928-607-6970 to make arrangements for extra waste. Extra bags are typically $3.00-$4.00 each depending on size and weight.
WHO QUALIFIES FOR THE "FIRST-RESPONDER" DISCOUNT?
The term “first responder” refers to those individuals who arrive first on scene at an accident, fire, or medical emergency (pre-hospital), and are responsible for the protection and preservation of life, property, evidence, and the environment: police officers, detectives, deputy sheriffs, state troopers, highway patrol officers, investigators, inspectors, correctional officers, parole or probation officers, park rangers, fire fighters, paramedics, emergency medical technicians, ambulance personnel, rescue workers, hazardous materials workers.
HOW LONG ARE QUOTES GOOD FOR?
Price quotes are good for 30 days from the date of issuance.
DO YOU OFFER AUTOPAY?
Yes! Autopay can be set up online at www.trashbilling.com or by calling our office at 928-607-6970.
WHAT IS YOUR INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY?
No refunds are given due to inclement weather. If unsafe road conditions prohibit us from providing delayed collection following an inclement weather event, we will collect up to double your service level at no additional cost on your next regularly scheduled service day providing the road conditions have improved enough for us to be able to safely reach the tote(s).
DO YOU CHARGE LATE FEES?
Invoices are generated at the beginning of each month. There is a 14 day grace period after the first of the month. If invoices aren’t paid by the 15th day past the due date, late fees will be assessed.
WHAT IF MY ACCOUNT IS CANCELLED FOR NONPAYMENT?
30-day delinquent accounts will be placed on a nonpayment suspension. Suspension notices are either mailed or emailed depending on customer communication preference. Accounts that are not paid within 14 days of a nonpayment suspension will automatically be scheduled for tote removal. If totes are removed for nonpayment, a redelivery service charge will be added and assessed to the outstanding balance owed. Furthermore, customers that fail to pay their bill for services provided may be subject to civil and criminal action.
WHAT DOES JT STAND FOR?
